All-Star Game Returns to Remax Field in 2022
After a two year hiatus, the North Central Alberta Baseball League All-Stars will be returning to Remax Field to resume a long standing tradition. Covid interrupted this significant baseball event in both 2020 and 2021 but the League boldly moved forward in both years with an abbreviated regular season. The newly renovated Remax Field, home of the Edmonton Riverhawks, will be a beautiful venue for the return of the League’s All-Stars. Despite having lost three franchises following the 2021 campaign, the League has slowly re-stabilized, and is hopeful to add to its numbers in the not too distant future. In the meantime, the League proudly celebrated the announcement of its official 2022 All-Star Club following the results of League wide balloting this afternoon. The voted All-Stars were chosen from across the entire League and will form part of two rosters representing divisional rivals. Next week, management will be releasing the names of additional players selected to represent each division. The two divisions emerge from splitting clubs according to the standings as of July 1st. Odd numbered clubs in the standings will face off against the even numbered clubs. Official names for each of the All-Star squads based on their promotional affiliations have yet to be named by the League.
The voted All-Stars by position and club affiliation are as follows:
