Jake Moger threw a gem over seven innings which gave the Twins several opportunities  to position runners on base  in scoring position.  But each time the Red Lions found a way to stop the Twins short by coming up with strong defensive plays in both the infield and outfield.  After a nervous error by Cote on an attempted force out at the plate which gave the Twins an early 1-0 lead, Cote settled down and contained the Twins for eight solid innings on the hill.  A 2-0 lead by the Twins held until very late in the game when Westlock managed to score a run in the sixth.  With the game literally on the line in the bottom of the seventh, Derek Lofstrand came through with a two out single scoring the tying run for Westlock.  An extra inning would not produce a break for either club as darkness set in and a large fan base was sent home disappointed that the game they had witnessed had to come to a close without a declared winner.  The truth of the matter was that no one wanted to leave the park following such a superb effort from both rivals.  That rivalry will continue on Saturday at 2:00 pm with the conclusion of game 1 in the LCFS.  That game will be followed by game #2 at Henry Singer Park in Spruce Grove.
