St. Albert Cardinals With Tough Game Against Parkland Twins

St. Albert Cardinals couldn’t keep up with Parkland Twins and fell 7-1 on Tuesday at Legion Memorial Ballpark Eng-Con Diamond.

Parkland Twins opened the scoring in the third after Doug Morris doubled, scoring one run.

Kyle Prather earned the win for Parkland Twins. The pitcher allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Forrest Tobias took the loss for St. Albert Cardinals. The hurler went five and one-third innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on 10 hits, striking out two and walking two.

Tye Nepoose-Hill, Chase Latta, Robert Sullivan, Zach Pollard, and Charmayne Gervais each collected one hit for St. Albert Cardinals. Gervais led St. Albert Cardinals with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. St. Albert Cardinals turned one double play in the game.

Parkland Twins accumulated 11 hits in the game. Number seven hitter, Brett Barron, showed the depth of Parkland Twins’s lineup, by leading them with three hits in three at bats. Barrhead Orioles Secure Win Against Edmonton Angels

Barrhead Orioles were triumphant over Edmonton Angels 5-3 on Sunday at Barrhead Sportsgrounds.

Barrhead Orioles got on the board in the first inning after Lee Worobec grounded out, scoring one run.

Barrhead Orioles added one run in the second. Tom Clement grounded out, making the score 2-0.

Edmonton Angels tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a walk by Carter Bertling, and a single by Garrett Green.

In the bottom of the sixth, Barrhead Orioles broke up the tie when Logan Branden doubled, scoring one run. Then a single by Ryder Sabiston followed to extend the lead to 5-3.

Worobec earned the win for Barrhead Orioles. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Ty Brodie took the loss for Edmonton Angels. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out four and walking three. Kayden Rentz opened the game for Barrhead Orioles. The pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out two and walking seven.

Rentz went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Barrhead Orioles in hits. Branden Meier, Branden, Worobec, Clement, and Sabiston each drove in one run for Barrhead Orioles. Meier stole two bases. Barrhead Orioles ran wild on the base paths, tallying five stolen bases for the game. Barrhead Orioles turned one double play in the game.

Green, Edmonton Angels’s number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in four at-bats. Edmonton Angels had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Sam Mackenzie, Josh Goonewardene, and Bertling led the team with two bases on balls each. Zach Snow stole two bases. Edmonton Angels ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game.

Westlock Red Lions Defeat Edmonton Angels On Multiple Hit Performance By Leyton Sharrun

Leyton Sharrun collected three hits in four at bats, as Westlock Red Lions defeated Edmonton Angels 10-0 on Tuesday at Keller Field. Sharrun singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.

Westlock Red Lions jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Chris Brand drew a walk, scoring one run, Sean Beaudoin singled, scoring one run, Sharrun singled, scoring one run, and Isaac Edwards doubled, scoring two runs.

Westlock Red Lions added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Corson Hanlan singled to center field, and Kyle Lawrence grounded out, each scoring one run.

Lawrence earned the win for Westlock Red Lions. The southpaw gave up zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Garrett Green took the loss for Edmonton Angels. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering 10 runs (eight earned) on nine hits, striking out four and walking three. Derek Lofstrand and Jordan Brand each threw scoreless innings for Westlock Red Lions in relief.

Westlock Red Lions tallied 11 hits in the game. Lofstrand and Sharrun each collected three hits for Westlock Red Lions. Nate Day, Sharrun, and Edwards each drove in two runs for Westlock Red Lions. Lofstrand stole two bases. Westlock Red Lions stole five bases in the game. Westlock Red Lions turned one double play in the game.

Cesar Arreola Pilas went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Edmonton Angels in hits. Bryn Nosterud stole two bases.

Lyall McMillan collected three hits in three at bats, as St. Albert Cardinals tied Barrhead Orioles 8-8 on Tuesday at Legion Memorial Ballpark Eng-Con Diamond. McMillan tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

St. Albert Cardinals were the first to get on the board in the first when Todd Whitney singled, scoring one run.

Barrhead Orioles took the lead in the top of the third. Logan Branden singled, scoring two runs, to give Barrhead Orioles the leg up, 2-1.

A single by Daniel Simmonds gave St. Albert Cardinals the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the third.

St. Albert Cardinals committed an error, which helped Barrhead Orioles tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fifth, St. Albert Cardinals broke up the tie when Chase Noppers doubled, scoring three runs. Then a single by Kevin Dryburgh followed to extend the lead to 7-3.

Johnney Klein tripled down the right field line, which helped Barrhead Orioles tie the game at eight in the top of the seventh.

Connor Zaharichuk pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for St. Albert Cardinals. The pitcher surrendered six hits and five runs (three earned) while, striking out one and walking two. Ian Pollard led things off on the bump for St. Albert Cardinals. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking four. Riley Schaffrick stepped on the mound first for Barrhead Orioles. The starter surrendered eight hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out six and walking four.

St. Albert Cardinals tallied 10 hits in the game. Noppers led St. Albert Cardinals with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.
